Why do people feel the need to say things like. "Wow you look like you have gained some weight," "You're getting BIG, when is the baby due," "Are you sure there is just one in there?," and a variety of other things. Really would you tell someone who is not pregnant who got fat that they are fat? NO Then why would you say these things to an emotionally unstable pregnant lady!! I know I am a big fat cow there is no need to point it out. I already feel totally gross and not sexy there is no need to make it worse.
I am ready to get my body back and hit the gym so I can let all the jerks I have to hear tell me these things "looks like you're the FAT one!!"
Okay that is my rant I could really go on for a while it makes me really really mad!!!!!!!

I've decided people just don't THINK before they speak.
reina, your not fat, your pregnant, totally different, so when someone says something just say, yeah well at least I have an excuse, I've got a baby in me, what do you have, oh just fat!
I think people think they're being complimentary when they make remarks on your big tummy. "You're growing a big healthy baby- good job, something to be proud of." - that's why they mean when they say - wow you're big! People would never mean to imply a pregnant woman is fat. (And if they did, they wouldn't say it out loud, right?)
LOL! Nice rant. I don't know why all pregnant women become sources of public awe and mystique, but they just do. You're so blessed to be pregnant. Not much longer and you'll have a munchkin that everyone will be poking and kissing and sticking their germy hands all over during flu season. ::snicker:: Can't win!
