Why is it...

That I can't have my cake and eat it too? I mean what is cake good for if not for eating. I really hate when people say that. Because Yes I do what my cake and YES I do want to eat it!!
(Well not know because I am on a little diet but when I loose some weight I WANT my cake and WANT to eat it!!!)

I've wrestled with this one too, Reina. It makes no sense. And I think I went as far as to research it or overthink it, but what I figured out is it means:

You can't eat your cake and have it too. See totally different when you switch it around like that. Cause if you eat it, it's gone, therefore you can't HAVE it still.

so you can either have the pretty cake to look at or eat the pretty cake but YOU CAN'T DO BOTH!

get it?
